Yes puppy pads would work perfectly. I always use paper towels for the first week and a half and then switch to pine shavings, my chicks are ready to make the switch from paper towels to shavings today, they are growing so quickly.
I am so sorry! I would be absolutely crushed if that happened to me. I hope your next batch goes better. Have you considered getting chicks from a feed store, they do not have as many breed options but at least you don't have to worry about your chicks being shipped.
So are my babies
I am getting mine Friday and I am so excited!!! I can not wait anymore!!!!
This is what I am getting:
1 Easter egger pullet
1 speckled sussex pullet
1 Silver laced wyandotte pullet
This is the thread I mad about my chicks I am going to post pictures on there...
I have never read about that before, I assumed they just sexed them as soon as they were all dry. In that case I would think that 3/23 would be the day that they will ship your chicks because they are saying that chicks are available on that day. If you really want to know you could call Murray...
That is cute, but as long as its an easy word to say... For example don't use chicken in Japanese which I think is yowamushi.... I am not positive tho . Other than that its a great idea!
