I wouldn't think that would work. When I incubated duck eggs, they needed higher humidity and daily misting with water. Looking at my ducks' nest, they usually bring in lots of mud and like things very messy Well, maybe they don't like it that way, but that's the way it ends up. Doesn't sound...

Does anyone have just black ameraucanas? I need some for a project. Updates: I have 3 White Bresse in the brooder that hatched last Sunday from chiqita's eggs. They are the friendliest little chicks, but very loud! I have 3/6 RP Turkey eggs ready to go into lockdown tomorrow from krazykat...

If the mosquito bits are the Bt bits, I believe they are safe for animals and fish. I have used them in the past, but I need to get more for this year.

If DH had a CDL, I'd send him your way. He is going back to work after I retire next month, but doesn't want to go back into teaching. What company does your BF own here?

minihorse - I think you are going to be looking for more NON-crested chicks! Of course, I could be wrong, but it looks to me like #3 & #5 are non-crested and the rest are crested. The angle on the pics may be throwing me off, but from my experience, the chicks that will have crests seem to have...

Pretty! The first chick looks to be crested to me. The crests don't usually show up until 3-4 weeks old. With a side profile pic of the heads, I could give you a good guess as to which ones will be crested, though.

I don't need any more eggs right now, but I have an auction listed for SFH eggs here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/754060/the-new-crazy-24hr-auction-thread/1670 I have 16 eggs right now. I have hatched many crested chicks from my flock, although I can't guarantee that you will.

I don't think CPL had many SFH swaps that weren't filled, but if anyone is waiting for them from her or would like to switch their swap to them, let me know. I would be happy to fill those for her.

Here's a tip - I use the Glad Press n' Seal to cover my EcoGlow. When it gets dirty, I just peel it off and replace.

krazykat - been meaning to ask you, what is the difference on the turkey eggs marked RP and RPP? 4/6 (2 each) going strong at day 10! All 6 started, but I pulled 2 with bloodrings. Probably my fault, it was a week after I got them before I was able to set them.
