I remember there being some good venders there, yes. And if yo ucan buy BIRDS then this is THE place to go, it has a huge busy sales area with top knotch birds

Oh god most of my 4h is showing up so that I can wander around with them and teach them stuff. They better not keep me from the sales area! LOL. If you see a bunch of kids and parents following me around like I'm a mother hen, come say hello to spare me a couple seconds xD

Why don't you just bring a bunch of those blank sticky nametags and a pen so that you don't have to worry about figuring out who's going to be there ahead of time?

Yes it's an open event, anyone can show. And they have a Junior class so it's a little less competition for the juniors (18 and over, I'm one year too old, dang, I'm gonna get SMOKED ) but even then competition is rough at Stockton. So don't be bummed if you don't place there, all the other...
