If you are testing/comparing put the two right next to the other. Looks like your sensor is on the white egg(I do not want my sensor touching a egg---that's me)----slide the egg down and put your other meter there and compare. I do like JB said---I let my hatch tell me if the thermometer is...

Have you been hatching in it? Let your hatch tell you which is off or right?

I have ordered several things from your Company and have only had one dead on arrival with a thermometer and a problem with a electronic thermostat that just needed adjusting. Both times your Company have got me going ASAP. Thanks

Sorry, because your excitement had turned to a Frown seems. I am not familiar with this clear top incubator----yes have seen them many times---just never used one. Usually the owners manual will tell you what the room temp needs to stay on for it to work properly. NO you do not need to heat your...

Your incubator, my incubator or even a broody hen can not hatch un-fertile eggs, so the un-fertile egg should not be included in the hatch percentage.

    Incuview Incubator

I always be set-up where I can add water to my incubators without opening(through a vent hole/flex straw/etc----I do not want to risk jeopardizing the rest. Hope opening does not affect you but it is sure death to some if I open mine where I live(Location/humidity/etc ) can affect some, other...

    Incuview Incubator

Sounds like everything is going good, "I" never worry which end they pip on, as long as they hatch good. If you are worried about keeping the humidity up----wait till most all have hatched before opening it to remove any. I wait till day 22 to open it for the first time unless ALL hatch before...

If they are hatching early, you can lower your temp about 1/2 a degree for the nest load/set to get them to hatch more on time. Good Luck!

    Incuview Incubator

If your """eggs""" started hatching a day early---it was to hot----if only one or two hatched early and the rest on time---I would say you were real close. I think you are beating yourself up over the lower humidity the first few days---and that probably had nothing to do with your outcome...

One thing I wanted to add-----is don't feel bad about you early hatched chicks---I have had them to stay in the incubator for 3 Full days after they hatch---waiting for the rest to hatch and allowing a extra day----it does not hurt them at all.

    Incuview Incubator

I would suggest you go out to dinner, go shopping, visit family for the next day or two before you do something you might should not do. But, its your incubator and your call!!! I personally would not touch it. We all get a higher Humidity during the hatch----well some might not----if they...

    Incuview Incubator

Don't, the shells will not hurt them. This is your incubator and you can open if you want. I never open mine till day 22 as you probably have read and the reason is in the beginning as soon as I opened the first time to remove the first hatch---I started having problems with the others hatching...

    Incuview Incubator

I use the bigger pine shavings that tractor supply carries and I never have a problem with hundreds of chicks in many brooders from hatch. I would never use hay because the poop just lays on top of it---not mixed in---gets all over them----I had rather use sand than hay. Just my opinion...

This is why I feel I have great hatcher because ""I"" Leave All the chicks in till all the others hatch or day 22----threatening to break arms if anyone tries to opens my incubator at all during Lock-Down!

If you want it at 43----can you lower the setting to say 33---then it might stabilize around 43-----thats my question?

    Incuview Incubator

If you let the pmp stay on so you can read the meter and pull the pump tube out the incubator---it wont go down then---allowing a couple hours?? Will it not go down if you set the humidity at a lower setting??
