Eggs are finally on lockdown as of 10 minutes ago. 4 made it out of 8 originally set. Now comes the nervous waiting, hoping and praying I get all 4 to hatch. I filled the water reservoir to the brim in my mini brinsea eco, I hope it's not too much humidity. The instructions said to fill it up...

Did an 8 day candleing tonight. Out of seven eggs, 5 are still going strong. Great veins, wiggly babies, neat to see! One egg was a blood ring, and one was a dud. I opened both, the blood ring looked like it quit on day 3 or 4, very small baby. The dud was a double yolk egg with no development...

Candled my 7 shipped eggs tonight (they are at day 6). There are 2 that are dark brown so can't really tell what is happening in there, but the rest showed spider veins!! I hope they keep growing. Go babies, go!

I have a brinsea mini Eco with 7 eggs on day 2. It has been keeping a steady temp of 99,3-99.9. But I noticed this morning the temp said 98.8. We turn our house temp down from 69 to 64 when we go to bed. Obviously the ambient temp is affecting the incubator temp?? Is there anything I can do...

Put my eggs upright to help with the detached air cells. Found one that was gently stuck to the shelf liner and had dried, crusty stuff on the shell. Tossed it out, since it appeared to be a weepy egg. Down to 7 eggs. :(

Eggs are in! I let them sit for 24 hours on the counter, then popped them in. Since they are shipped eggs, I am going to just let them be for 2 days with no touching/turning. The air cells were REALLY wobbly, really hoping I can get some to hatch. There are only 8 in the incubator, the ebay...

My eggs are here! They shipped out Wednesday and made it early this morning. All looked great and were packaged very well. They didn't feel too cold, so hopefully they weren't exposed to the frigid outdoor temps for too long of periods. I have them in egg cartons for the next 24 hours. I candled...

Shipped eggs should be arriving either tomorrow or Saturday. Keeping my fingers crossed the cold doesn't damage them. They are traveling from Florida to the tip of Maine, and we are still having -13 below nights here. I'm a little worried about how cold the eggs will get, Really hoping they...

Hello! Brand new posting, but have been hanging around the boards for a while. I have owned chickens for the past few years, but this will be my first time incubating my own. I just ordered some from ebay and they should be arriving hopefully in the next few days. Just some fun mixed breed...
