. I haven't seen them in person. But they are cute. ;) I think she plans on having one at the swap in Neilsville. I agree with building them so they are easy to clean. That was my goal with mine.
I have a friend up north here that has some really nice coops for sale but in the $500 range, were already lowered down from much higher. Coops have an attached smaller run. She is on FB if you are interested I can get you in contact with her.

I have seen photos of these coops and...
Again, sorry for all the losses. Welcome imagen!
Haven't been creeping on here for a week. The eggs I had in the bator hatched. 18 out of 21 that went into lockdown. I didn't think that was too bad for the first time. Now I have eight shipped eggs that were roughed up in there. I am hoping...
So sorry for everyone's losses... Welcome newbies. I'm fairly new too. I have eggs in the bator due May 5 for a friend that I hope will hatch. I just got some shipped eggs in today. First time trying shipped eggs. Wiggly air cells. They are resting now. Will see how that goes. Broilers...
I hope everyone had a great Easter! Snow here this morning. Kids loved it. Best wishes for new jobs and chicken problems! Congrats to those with new birds. I was a couple pages behind. I wish I could help you kristip!
Glarner, you sound like me. If it wasn't for DH I'd have more than one dog and probably several other creatures. It took me 9 years to get my chickens. My boys aren't as animal crazy as I wish they were. They love them, but would rather spend time doing other things.

It is 5x7 : ) Same square footage either way. $300 really isn't bad considering the skids it is on and all the lumber up to this point were reclaimed from pallets and such. Here is the progress made today on the new bottom portion.
Made a $300 trip to Menards for supplies to renovate our "free" ice shack last night. I knew this was going to happen. I guess the entire bottom is being rebuilt.
I know all about chicken math! I had heard about it and like we all do I thought... that won't happen to me. I picked up my six chicks and two days later one was developing a scissor beak. A week after picking them up we were back picking out TWO to replace the ONE we knew we were going to...
I just going back through my posts and had to laugh out loud. I picked up a dozen chicks two weeks ago and purchased an incubator two days ago. I am glad I'm not the only one who can't help themselves! : ]
Edited to add that I also picked up a free ice shack a week ago to turn into another coop!
