Lol she sounds like my Zephyr when he was the lone chick (story on my website). He would spend hours telling the chicks in the mirror about his adventures

And yes, that is how I base my sex. Seramas mature very early compared to other birds. Males are usually sexually mature by 12-14 weeks and girls can start laying at 15 weeks. Most of mine have.

Really? I have a 13 - 14 week old pullet right now!! should I expect her to possibly bless me with my first egg EVER soon?

Most of mine have laid at 15-16 weeks but it can be longer. It all just depends on the bird

Awww! I'm a grandma again.

I enjoyed the article on shipping. I even copied it to send to people who buy eggs from me.

Like you I try to make sure that folks have a good hatch.

Love all the baby pics! Mine are getting cuter:)

Hello all. I just wanted to introduce myself. I think I was one of the first people to get eggs from Castle Delight seramas...correct me if I am wrong Laura. I have been wanting to post but it has been complete Mayheim around our house. Just wanted to say hi. I have more eggs coming in October and I can't wait...and then I am putting up the incubator...yeah right! that is what I say everytime!

I thought it was a good article too. I think there are a lot of myths and false information floating around about shipped eggs so hopefully that cleared the air a bit.

10 1/2 out. 5 of mine & 5 1/2 of Laura's

The 1st pipper Napoleon egg, pipped at the wrong end .... so I had to give it some help. Pulled the chicks and shells out and gave the little backwards one a few chips to help out out. Now we wait & watch. I know that 4 out are Thadeus, the 5th...not sure, can't find the top

I will count when hatching is done & compare my notes.

2 more Laura's are pipped.

I will get pics when we are all hatched.

I got updated photos of the babies today... they didnt want to cooperate at all but atlead you can see how they've grown..
Also I think the Thaddeus egg with the detached air sac is a quitter.. It went from having huge ammounts of vessles to only one branching off of the embryo..
