Mabel's got a new bag!

Was down the hens at midnight last night moving broody orp to the new, secure shed as she chose to go broody in one of the sheds the rats destroyed. Hopefully she will be able to raise her ducklings in peace this time around!

That girls life had a complete turn around. Way to go! That's so wonderful to see the difference a loving hand can make.

I notice non of your ex battery hens are debeaked. Is this something the egg factories don't do in the UK?

Rosie is way better this morning. She's eating lots too! Was going to take her back to the hens bit decided to keep her another day just to give her crop a break as it's just shifted its impaction. I'm hoping there is still nothing underlying but it's a good sign that she's improved and not got worse. Here she is enjoying a dippy egg for her lunch
