I too have a hatch started. Mottled Cochin & a Pita Pinta so far tonight. I will check in the motning before Jules & I head up to Guinda to Kim's to pick up Halle my new Dexter hiefer. If I have time I will post again before we leave

Karen, my father used to raise Dexter cattle. They are so cute! I love the calves. The bulls are sweet too and thank god they are small, lol

I rode on one... it was hilarious. Small does not mean it wouldn't crush your foot. And I don't know how sweet he was... cute but defiantly still a bull.

Yes, they are sweet. Halle arrived from Guina to Turlock fine yesterday. She was a real trooper in that trailer & with all the traffic. Her sisters greeted her in my pasture with great excitement. They followed her everywhere & wouldn't even break away for a leaf of alfalfa which usually makes them come running.....LOL

That probably would have been fine. The one we uded was an old open top one & we felt sorry for Halle & stopped & got a tarp & big zip ties & covered her. She was so much happier after that.
