Well my husband wanted to cuddle muscovy, so I got some pictures. Unfortunately it really doesn't show well up on her pink beak. You might be able to see those ripples.

I have seen something similar on one of my ducks. She is a Muscovy that is 2 years old. I got her from a breeder that free ranges with LGDs that look after them. She clearly had some minor injury to her beak at sometimes. I don't have any good pictures showing it.
Granted, I am assuming your new girl's beak actually feels normal otherwise.
Thank you for the photos! I hear that some Muscovy are great for cuddles. I can see what you mean. @Miss Lydia to answer your question from before, I'm not sure if it is damp. I am trying to handle her slowly as she was very spooked when we first got home. I may try to get better photos tomorrow when the rain stops. In the meantime I applied some poultry goo and it seems to possibly be helping.Well my husband wanted to cuddle muscovy, so I got some pictures. You're absolutely right. She is SO tiny. Photo below of her next to Pickles, my tiny Welsh Harlequin and my smallest duck at 4 lbs, until Tiny arrived yesterday.I think she isMallard. Green egg.
Seed?My daughter wants to name one Poppy, and I'm not sure about the other.
