Left over pinto beans, acouple of bags of not so fresh lettuce and some crackers...They are happy hens!

Later today I have a huge strawberry popcisle to help them stay cool.

Thinking about growing mealworms I'm a little hesitant because they are worms :/ what do yall think.

Some frozen corn and lima beans..day old wheat bread.. fresh mowed grass.. they love Thursdays.. the field gets mowed and they find all kinds of treats when out free ranging.

They are really easy... just look how to take care of them on the internet. I don't raise them because they go so fast in my flock. But make sre they don't turn into beetles. Mine did once! (Or beetles got into their cage)

Grapes! They kept stealing them from the little rooster. He was getting so mad.

Maybe he will learn something from them.

I gave mine yogurt ice cubes and cold grapes. Later after dinner they will get zucchini chopped up with kale.

They were supposed to get the watermelon but son tossed it into the field instead, had black mold growing on one side.
