Yellow squash from the garden yesterday, but today I think there are enough cherry tomatoes ready to start sharing with them.

A huge bowl of veggie scraps from a salad I made for supper that included eggs, ham and cheese.

I never thought of giving the bones to the girls! Hubby had some for dinner tonight so they might get lucky tomorrow!

It doesn't matter what I have in my hand. They are like a starving horde of locust, lol. I wave my purse over them as I am trying to get in the car. It use to scare them, but not any more. I'm always stepping on toes or accidently sending them sail through the air when they hop on my foot as I'm taking a step. Nothing deters them. Sometimes I get a squawk from them. They free-range but they get most our scraps and I soak grain for them or cook gruel. I think this is especially good to keep dehydrated, plus it swells up and doesn't take as much.

I can totally relate on locusts and vultures

. There i was concerned a couple weeks ago that my fluff bums dont eat anything other than seed and boy oh boy have they caught up on not eating anything else. They love everything i give them. The roo jumps at me and will chase me if i have a tasty morsel in hand. Got the fright of my life when he launched at me for a scone
