I like the idea. As we have 9wk chicks that are finally meandering over to the other coop, as of tomorrow, only crumbles. Of course the 5.5 wk chicks will be free ranging soon.
We're going to see if we can set up a few smaller feed stations, using the same premise. I'll be drawing and checking on "things" to us to make them.

I agree. Also adding size of width/length. We have 1 coop at only 8' x 4.5 x 8'. The 4.5W is too narrow. I would have preferred 6'. Of course our 8'x8'x9' is wonderful. Thank you for the article.

I have probably read this at least 3 times and each time I think of what I can do to adjust it to our coop. Great article. Thank you.

I just hatched our 4th clutch but the first time with an incubator. The pictures helped so much on the days I candled. Thank you for the clear pictures and the enhancements for viewing.

As I read your article, smiling all the way, I began to think of all their antics, different sounds for different occasions and everything crazy that goes into having chickens. Wonderful article and well written.

An excellent sad but true article. At 67, we are still in good health (PTL) but the aches, pains and life take tolls. Like changing the frozen water to fresh at -17! I have been reading your articles and Thank you for sharing your knowledge and heart. A.M.D.G.

Well written. We feed our dog raw also. We do not add the fruit as that is her snack during the day. We also do not feed nuts but do add beans and whey from our homemade yogurt. 3 days a week, a raw egg and yogurt in the early morning for probiotics. Dehydrated sweet potatoes strips as a snack.

Very much and detailed info. My first clutch and the hen began laying eggs for the last 3 days, roosting up high with the chicks (6 weeks old) and on occasion a peck at a chick. My friend, who loaned her to us, said she's ready to go back to the flock. Exact same as your article. Thank you.
