This article has everything you need to know the first time you experience your flock (or even an individual bird) going through a molt.

This is a quite helpful article if you are wondering which chicken is laying the eggs you are finding - or to assess how soon your pullets may begin to lay.

This article gave me so many good ideas! I love keeping my chickens busy and stimulated but have gotten stuck in the same 3 or 4 offerings. Not any more!

I'll have to remember the ideas for toys for the brooder the next time I have a batch of chicks.

Great article!

What a detailed and super-helpful article this is! I can't think of anything I was left wondering about. The only problem is that it left me quite envious. ;)

This article has tons of details and pictures, and I can see it inspiring someone to check out their local resources (Craigslist, Freecycle, etc.) for a horse trailer or some other large, sturdy structure that could be repurposed for chicken keeping. The writer does an excellent job of explaining it all, and I especially love the "before" and "after" shots.

This article has a good amount of detail and shows most of the process the writer went through in designing and building his own coop - including modifications, and why he made modifications. He helpfully provides a cost, which included some power tools he purchased for the project.

I would have loved to have seen some inside shots (and eventually, the run) but this is a good glimpse into how coop design "evolves" - and how it always costs more than we plan!

This is, as others have said, basically a commercial for the coops that are shown for sale. Since there's little information on how these were built, there's not much info here for someone who's planning their own coop build.

This coop rocks! It is spacious and functional but has the "dollhouse details" that I personally love that give it loads of charm. I especially appreciate the numerous pictures that were posted. I would have enjoyed more commentary about the process, though.

Great idea! Sketch out what you want and find a helpful employee at a building supplies store to help you gather all the supplies you will need. I would have loved more details -- for example, how much did the tractor end up weighing? Can 2 people easily move it? I can totally relate to sitting there and watching Chicken TV!

Not sure that many people have access to an incubator, so the helpfulness of this article is a bit limited for that reason. This is, however, a very nice example of how a sturdy structure that you may be able to find locally can be adapted for chicken keeping.

All of these tips are do-able for most of us. This article opened up my eyes to some new possibilities for photos of my flock that do justice to their beauty and their personality.

This article is clearly written. Links with more information are provided for the newer alternatives. It's super helpful! We'll be abandoning the heat lamps the next time we have chicks to raise.
