I like the gutter/herb planters and the way you can completely remove that side wall. For a temp structure at a rental, this does the trick. Where are the nesting boxes?
I don't think I've seen a coop from a pre-fab shed kit. I can see the attraction to this and, as you say, maybe it's easier to design and build your own. But this looks just fine.
