This coop looks great and they re-used materials and kept the cost down. The run is large and the coop seems well constructed but it would be great to have more details about the plans and design.
As a tutorial for framing the coop this gets an A+ or a 5 rating. But then we never get to see what happened next! Wish I could see it finished; I'll bet this is one exceptional coop.
This coop has too many good things to mention. Large roosting space, storage, big run, access doors, enough nesting boxes. Good pictures showing the lay out. It would be great to see what it looks like now with the landscaping and added ventilation.

Good article explaining how to 'upgrade' a playhouse into a coop. LOL. Wonder about changes 8 years later. It looks as if it would be very easy to take the top part and slide into the chicken coop. Hope there is some shade covering the run.
This coop is well made and the builder put a lot of thought into his design. It has a huge run and there are good pictures of the outside but it would help to see inside better.
This coop is awesome and ambitious and I wish the article had more pictures. I love the design and the room of both the coop and the run. If what i read is true, then one feeder and waterer are not enough for that many chickens. This is very well made and well thought out!
Good article with explanatory pics showing building process, Nice looking and well-built tractor. Can't be used for any more chickens than what they own now or the spacing will be too tight but it is great for those they have.
Great to read; good pics, easy to follow thought process and good use of recycled goods as the builder was able. Nice looking and strong, seems predator proofed. May want to raise the roosts just a bit so that the hens feel safer up higher.
Easy to understand and follow the building process. Good coop with lots of ventilation which is important in Texas. Not a big fan of hardware cloth underneath the run; the hens can't scratch around, but a pretty good set-up.
