Most smaller tractors don't have room for a nest box, but this one has one built right into the end ... and then the entire end comes off for cleaning. Nice! This style would actually work for those of us who are, shall we say, vertically challenged? Most tractors sturdy enough for me to trust with my chickens are too heavy for me to move easily. I simply lack the height to get the leverage needed to move them around. This one would lighten up quickly once that heavy end came off. I may have a chicken tractor, yet!
Awesome tractor!!! I want to build a tractor like this one Though I really really hate working with chicken wire, so difficult to handle, so I will probably use hardware cloth around the bottom. Great job!! Looks very safe!
WHOA! I LOVE how the end with the nest box comes off completely for cleaning. I'll bet taking it off makes it much lighter for moving it around, too. That's a big plus for someone on the ... ummm ... vertically challenged side, like me. It's hard to get a heavy tractor up high enough to move easily. I simply don't have the height to leverage it well. I LIKES!
