I've been pretty busy lately, leaving little time to introduce my 23 (soon to be 30
) additions to the flock! 12 EEs, 2 Welsummers, 2 Call ducks, and 7 bantams, which are almost 6 and 5 weeks old.
Very few have names, since we only now are starting to figure out genders.
Welsummer cockerel (we ordered two pullets, but - surprise!
) and sweet little Colombian Rock bantam standing tall and proud!
Colombian Rock bantam again! SO haughty!
This Buff Brahma bantam is SWEEEET!
Blue Fawn Call nibbling the camera lens.....
Snowy Call
EE cockerel - he's ALREADY aggressive!
This guy, on the other hand, is a sweetie pie! (so far, who knows what he'll be like at maturity
)
EE cockerel? posing.
EE, possibly a STUNNING pullet!
Love this little girl. She's the "standard" looking EE you would envision, but still so adorables!
Pretty EE, thinking pullet.
"Splash" Blue Breasted OEGB, who thinks she rules the world!
Bald, kinda ugly, but still CUTE EE!
UGH, SOOOOOOO precious it's not even right!
White Silkie bantam.
Handsome EE cockerel resting on some shale roofing.
Possibly the best-looking boy of the bunch, but also the most ready to pick on those smaller than himself.
Milan, tri-colored and docile!
I'm ridiculously excited, 'cause I always wanted a blue and orange EE pullet!
Lovely EE cockerel - his colors are stunning.
Jewel, duck-obsessed "Silver Spangled Hamburg" bantam, though I think she might actually be a second Rock.
Anika, Welsummer pullet.
Jewel and unnamed CR bantam
SNOWZ thinks it needs to be the center of attention 24/7!
SNOWZ showing off that tongue!
Grumpy Blue Breasted OEGB face!
ANOTHER crabby face.....
FAWNZ basking in sunshine!
Sweet sleepy Silkie
Gotta preen that lovely plumage.....
These Calls and bantams have bonded inseparably.
Twin Blue Breasted OEGBs, who don't even know how tiny they are!
More pictures to come, as there are 5 bantam duckies and 2 bantam CHIX coming in three days.
Lots of love,
~Amari/Alex
