My friendly chickens

    Hello and Welcome to my chicken page! [​IMG]
    We started with chickens I think about three years ago and have had many adventures with them! We received our first 10 chickens from our friends leaving to Texas. Since then our flock as grown.

    Now I will introduce you to my chickens!

    Breed: Mutt
    Age: 5
    He is our rooster and is a big baby! He will try to act tough to impress you but he is really a softy [​IMG].


    Breed: RIR (hatchery quaility)
    Age: 1 1/2 years
    Can be kinda mean to the newbies
    Breed: RIR
    Age: 1 1/2 years
    Trying to reach the treats!

    Very sweet and friendly towards humans and chickens!

    A very bossy hen and is at the top of the pecking order!

    She is like Hawks little shadow! She tries to act just like her and follow her latest thing![​IMG]

    One of the friendlies ones we have!
    Breed: Mutt
    Age: almost 6 months
    Shirley is one of the chicks we got this spring. She is now just starting to lay her eggs :).
    Breed: Australorp
    Age: almost 6 months
    Winter is a gorgeous black australorp. She is also one of the new ones.

    Age: almost 6 months
    Tnis little missy has a suspicous mind and it is hard to gain her trust but she is very nice.

    Nora is Merry's twin/shadow like Samoa is to Hawk.

    We have 3 other chickens but I don't have pictures of them yet!

    R.I.P. October 23 2014
    (was a very bossy hen, I will miss that bossy attitude!)

    Well robin is to aggressive and mama, Oreo, miracle (at 6 months) and penny were eaten by raccoons :-( .

    WOW! I can't believe I got picture of the week!
    RezChamp I would've kept him but he was to aggressive and attacked three people. GrammiChelle and Cheryl1948 WPR means White Plymouth Rock.

    I believe RogerTheChicken is correct. I believe also the original name was/is Barbu d'Anvers.

    I think she was a OEGB, all I really know is I got her from a bantam assortment bin at Tractor supply. When she laid she was loud! Thanks by the way!

    Love your chickens! :) And I noticed that Oreo and baby Penny were sitting together in a "Penne" pasta brand box! :D Just thought that was really cute :)
