This is just a directory of all of the birds currently in my flock, including a picture of each bird, their breed / variety, origin, and hatch date if known. I've divided this into several parts to make it a little shorter and have less load time for others who, like me, don't have the fastest internet speeds for pictures. You can use the dropdown at the top of the page or links at the right (on larger screens and computers) to navigate. Below is a listing of who is on which page.
My flock has grown over the years, from a mere dozen or so TSC chicks to over one hundred birds from various sources. While at one point I had a mixture of chickens, ducks, and Guinea fowl, I began with only chickens and have gone back to only chickens as of today. Worth noting, not all of my birds are listed here. This is only the birds who have names and are permanent residents in my flock.

Because I have so many silkied Cochin bantams and breed them so there will always be many of them around, they are on their own page despite being one of my favorite breeds. Random Fact: Mack started turning white when he was 5-6 months old, but lost most of his white feathers when he had his first full adult molt at about 17 months of age. Now he just has one white feather left in his tail and a few stray white feathers on his face.

My goal is to breed these birds toward the standard for smooth bantam Cochins, along with attempting to select for lighter Blues as silkied feathering tends to make Blue look quite dark, sometimes indistinguishable from Black at first glance. Though not my absolute favorite breeds, Easter-eggers, Marans, naked necks, Orpingtons, and Plymouth Rocks have become staples in my mixed flock for their individual beauty, fun personalities, entertainment value, or for the beauty they bring to my egg basket. As such, I hope to always have at least one of each in my mixed flock going forward!

Findlay was the city in Ohio we erroneously turned toward instead of the direction we needed to go to get home.

Oddly enough, not only is she a hen, but actually ended up much smaller than her brothers were, about the size of a Silkie hen!

Random Fact: Rangi lost a large portion of her comb and half of her right wattle due to a cold snap occurring immediately after a flood in the coop during her very first winter. Despite this, her comb is still pretty huge most of the year--but in the wintertime it shrinks to about half the size!
