August 20th 2014, my dear hen Ginger passed away. Rest in peace, my sweet girl, rest in peace..
Ginger's Story: Ginger was a rescue. 2 years ago, I found her. She had been abandoned on the street side. Just left to die, with 5 other hens. She had mites, she was weak, and so were her friends. They were nursed back to health. 3 of her friends have died since. But August 20th, Ginger was found dead in her coop. Ginger was a sweet, sweet, hen. She had a very kind heart. She was talkative. She had the sweetest voice, that could make you smile on the saddest of days. She had the cutest Easter Egger face. With those puffed out cheeks, that every chicken lover loves.
Ginger will live on in the hearts of everyone, here at Happy Hen Chicken Rescue. We will always remember her as the wonderful hen she was. Rest in peace Ginger, rest in peace.
