If I let mine out they go under the coop and then won't come out at night. Not fun!

YIKES! Anyone else in this snowstorm? We are supposed to get up to two feet by next morning. It is coming down at a rate of 3" an hour here! And Blowing into huge drifts. I've filled the water jugs, made a fire and am hunkering in for a big one!

Exactly! I just ran down there in the rain with fresh water for them, their battery operated lantern so they'd have a little extra light, and tossed around some scratch. They seem very content, ducks included!

Well, the snow battle wasn't to bad today, and we had rain falling by mid afternoon.
Lot's of resident Robin's around my house, feeding on the crabapples that are left on my tree.

I can't believe this- we are buried! We have more than a foot now, and it
is coming down thick and fast! Shades of last winter! No poultry will be going outside for quite a while!

Ahhh.........1 hour delay on school, meaning its over and doing well on this patch of earth.
I snowblowed around 3:30 pm yesterday in big fear of rain. Snowblowers hate slush. We must have had a good foot or so and tucked into the woods, no wind, no power outages.
Even tho it is looking calm, it is not fit for man nor beast. 28 degrees in the hutch.
Hey Booger, I'm headed your direction, I'd love to live the life of a Southern Robin! (JK) lol! Back years ago, I don't believe it was common to hang around, then again, we didn't have as many birds due to DDT. (regardless to the "name" calling, I'm glad you southern New Englanders are doing well from this storm.
