I gave up and dug my heater out. Now I am sitting in front of it and slowly warming up again. Oh, I hope this is not going to stay this early in the fall.

How many days ago was it we were baking in the heat?

I bought a 50# bag of DE from Tarwaters, in Topeka on N Old 75 Highway for $12.00. I'm not sure of the brand, but it's in a feed sack.
 
I've got 'em on my list! I will have quite a trek up to the barn in the mornings and evenings. Not looking forward to that.

Just wish I had my wood stove put in so I could watch the season change with wood smoke in the background.
 
I wanted to get it in before the tax rebate expired, but just couldn't fit it in with everything else. Ah well... What kind do you have?

OBama has a 1300 tax rebate you can get with this year's filing, IF you purchase an energy efficient wood stove prior to Jan. 1, 2011.
Kinda like the home-purchase rebate. There is also a rebate for energy efficient blinds.
