I got 25 baby chicks last spring and they're doing great and then I got 25 more baby chicks in the fall. Is fall a bad time to get chicks? This bunch just hasn't seemed as healthy.
How often should I feed my flock scratch for good nutrition?
I'm giving it to them everyday and I'm beginning to think that's too much.
Maybe they should spend more time eating their good organic food.

We seem to have our 5 week olds all of the sudden peaking at each other in a

I have 28 3 day old baby chicks and 2 of them started to get messy and plugged little bums today.

My newest batch of chicks will be 5 days old on Sunday and it's suppose to be 90 degrees that day.
They have been staying in a room (in the outdoor coop) with a heat lamp at night. I'm concerned about them getting too hot during the day with these high temperatures. Should I keep them inside...
