Maybe you could put the wire screen on the outside of the windows to where you can still open them from the inside and not have to take the windows out. You might also try putting the ice in front of the fan to create a cool breeze for them. I have a metal building with a metal roof and I face...
I think you have a pullet as well. I have some light brahmas that are 14 weeks old and I have been able to tell the roo for quiet some time now, his cone has been really red, and developed alot more than the pullets. Very pretty pullet, might have to look into ordering some of those next time.
I'm pretty sure I have a barred rock roo, just want to know what some others here think. I ordered "him" a couple months back and one more looks the same, but the others are darker and don't have the same size cone. I think it's starting to show signs of saddle feathers as well.

I always thought that they wouldn't go under something for a chicken either but it happened to mine. I have an enclosed lot and then a larger open lot for mine to roam in. They are separated by a gate but I always leave it open to give them more space. One day a hawk went right inside...

You might try the car method someone said here. I think I've also read people drowning them in ponds or a barrel of water. I'm not sure I agree with the drowning being humane because it will be struggling for air under water. Might even check with dept. of wildlife in your area and see...
Didn't catch anything last night, but I will keep the trap set. Thats how I caught the first one, didn't even know he was around because I have only been catching possums. I wouldn't "rehome" them aarron, unless that "home" is "out of this world" for good. They will only become a problem for...
Well I guess the raisin bread didn't fill him up, so he came back for the sardines. Of course it may not be the only one, but I will reset the trap again tonight just to make sure.
I have a live trap set with raisin bread in it but the coon is somehow getting the bread out without throwing the trap. I think he may be pulling it through the sides. Has anyone ever had this happen before? It has not got any of my chickens, they are secured of the night. I caught its buddy...

I have a coop like this. How did you convert to the doors you have on this one. I still have the sliding ones and they can be a pain in the winter from the shavings the chickens scratch into the rail the doors slide on. Looks like this would work much better.
Don't think I've ever seen these around here before. Not sure what they are or if they pose a threat to chickens. Does anybody know what they are? Sorry, this is the best pic I could get before they would fly off.
