Saw this ad on CL... seriously, I don't believe this

Someone offered me 8 baby ducks that they bought to have for the kids for one day. Sadly dh won't let me have them. I am really shocked that someone would be so cruel to the animals and the kids.

Anyone know any *natural* ways to help with the flu?

I always just up the fluids lots. My fav for the flu is mint tea (hot). Sometimes I add some lemon or orange. No milk or sugar. Otherwise I never touch hot tea.

    House is ours! Progress thread..=)

Looks like fun. Some of the best times we have had have been remodeling. I would have to paint the bathroom for now. Looks like something from Steven King "RED RUM". When we moved in, the master had teal walls, pink curtains and lime shag. Have Fun. Congrats!

    chicken run---how tall?

Our covered run slopes from 8ft to 6ft. We are bumping the side out from 14by 5 to 14 by 12 this summer. It will also slope but to 4ft and just hardware cloth top. Dh wants to put the metal roofing on that also but i think I want that part with no solid roof.

    coop cleaning time--YUCK

It has been very damp here lately and noticed that yucky coop smell. Just finished the complete clean and the girls are loving it. But hauling all that stuff the 20 feet to the compost pile wasn't my idea of fun. I'm thinking i need a bin right beside the coop. And of course I smell like it...

    chick with bloody toe

well they left that foot alone and started on the other one. I know it's not the feathered feet because there is another feather foot in there and they leave that one alone. It also isn't the smallest. So why this one. Looks like I get to hand raise this one.
