Thank you so much! I was hoping with the little light stripes on some of the black ones feathers would make her a Duckwing. Either way I think they are both pretty, and I love them both. They seem to be a little more timid than other breeds, so I make sure to handle them and love them everyday.

Yep, using a wellsummer you may get speckled eggs.

? [/IMG][/IMG] This is one of my OE chicks ! A cross from Bcm roo and Ameraucana's that carry two blue genes. I'm curious about this chick born 6/4, the comb has 3 rows the outer 2 very subtle. I know the center comb being taller indicates male, but this chick doesn't look like a roo at 8...

A few pages back someone mention ear color and relation to egg color. Could someone elaborate on this? This is the first I've heard of that and I'm curious about it.

Love this new app! I can keep track of my chickens and their info in addition to keeping a record of eggs they lay. I really appreciate the different resources the app offers, this is tremendous for long time chicken keepers and newbies liked myself. Thank you!
