    I received several ducklings in the mail this morning from Metzers, but had it synchronized with some calls hatching. The little call is in the front. I hope this helps!

    Just wanted to give everyone an update that "Buddy" crowed a couple days ago. I really love him and he'll probably end up staying.....although he has a crooked beak. He just won't be part of any breeding programs.

    I have a broody! I've been testing the little Mama out this week with some golf balls and she's serious. I've moved her into a rabbit hutch in the coop and just wondering what you guys think? You guys think she'll be able to finish up the incubation process and keep these little chickies...

    Just an update: candles again today out of curiosity. Dark spot is still very large, and embryo is still swirling in another section of egg.

    It's definitely not the embryo. I can see the embryo moving towards the middle of the egg. This is towards the air cell.

    So I candled my Silkie eggs last night and noticed one with a dark "chunk" in it. We're on day 7. At first I assumed it was a dead embryo, but upon further inspection I can see the embryo moving at another part of the egg? What is it? Could it harm the egg or the other ones in the incubator. I...

    He's just over 5 months. Neither him or the paint have crowed. At this point it's a pet regardless. Whenever I'm out in the yard "it's" very inquisitive about everything I'm doing. That's why it's my little buddy.......

    Hahaha. They'll definitely be spoiled Unfortunelty not a lot of extra space around here, but we'll figure it out! I maybe able to heat our storage shed properly. Knowing my luck the kids will have them turned into house chickens! My husbands going to want a divorce! Hahahahaha
