I've got a flock of Welsh Harlequins I got just because 1) They lay great and 2) They are very friendly. Though I can't fully vouch for either as they're very young still. I won't fully judge them until they're at least a year old.

galgo98; sounds like you've got everything under control then.. And some good cheap sources for stuff. Will be looking forward to seeing how your roof turns out.
The good looking feathers can be cast into resin and turned into turning blanks to make pens. Mostly use tail feathers from chickens and game birds for this, but I'm sure some kinds of duck feathers would make nice pen blanks.
That or use them for fly fishing.
