great set up you've got there.. My main reason for wanting to give them food/water is so that I dont have to open the incubator door and potentially spoil the possibility of the other eggs hatching. Just wanted to see if others have done this? or if they have any tips, tricks, advice...

I have another question. I am/ was running mulitple batches of eggs in my bator and ignorantly put in fresh eggs 5 days before a hatch was due. I turned them for the first two days however on days 3-6 only turned them once a day and had humidity at around 75% as I didnt...
I really want to try it but am scared that it will disrupt the process (ie because chicks are rotated, the few minutes out of the bator may harm eggs, also because the egg cartons are cooler and may take longer to warm up, and because their is no air circulation around the carton)

I have 20 eggs in my RCOM 20 Pro due to hatch on Sunday so lock down starts tonight. The eggs are currently sitting on their sides in the chicken egg trays that come with the bator.
I was contemplating placing the eggs upright in card board egg cartons for the hatch .
My rationale is...
On the home stretch... Hatch due on SUnday. I candled all of mine yesterday... Only one light Sussex wasn't fertile so I had to bin that... I'm thinking of putting the eggs in cartons and lining the bottom of the r com with some baking paper before lockdown for two reasons... One so the chicks...
