I'm in Madison county about 25 miles from Charlottesville, VA thought I was the only Virginian here so glad I'm not but still like making new friends from all over

I actually am getting a new coop this weekend and was going to ask the same thing.....my chickies are probably about 14 weeks give or take and like I said we are getting a new coop and I too wanted to know when is a good time or age to allow them to free range after getting used to the new coop...

What the media failed to report is that those so called "farmers" use cruel means to feed some of their poultry whether it be chickens, turkeys, ducks whatever....they force feed these birds with funnels and feed them crap nothing that is natural all things pumped up on hormones and...

Has anyone ever used mail order chicks?? I need to rebuild my flock as last week a fox or some critter got 10 out of 22 my chickies and I want to replace the ones that were eaten....anywho I'm new to this and mail order is something I have looked into but not sure and does anyone have a certain...

Also thinking of building a coop since the one we currently have is away from the house do you know where I can find a simple plan for a coop to hold at least 10 chickens

Quick question would you recommend aproning the inside of the coop or outside or heck both inside/outside
