Thanks guys! I can't find a wound anywhere. Her feet are deformed, and it looks like that one toe had two toenails...and one has turned black with part of her foot. A friend suggested that I take her to the vet and they may amputate the toe. I'm not sure, I would really like to find a...
I got this chicken not long ago from someone who was obviously mistreating her. She hadn't even noticed that there was something wrong with her feet at all, until I pointed it out to her. Her feet were like this when I got her.
Someone told me that this is bumble foot, but I can't find the...
I went out to give the chickens treats and this one was not interested in them at all, so that made me think something was wrong. Usually she doesn't let us pick her up but when I walked over she just sat there and didn't move. She looked uncomfortable and was away from the rest of the flock...
Thank-you for responding! I actually read somewhere that the female worms are red, I hope that this is just the treatment working, and expelling the worms. ??
I brought one of my Buff Orps inside because she sounded wheezy and was sneezing a lot. So I treated her with oil of oregano, and some put some Vicks on her nose. The next day I noticed worms in her feces, much like the first picture (that is not hers, I don't have a picture of hers) so we...

Thank...
It is starting to look like a coop!
The roof is on...
And there are the sides.
So we did help paint while Marley chewed the leftover wood scraps.
The nesting boxes are in! I know it is overkill for the number of chickens we will have, but we may get more in the future.
There's the back...
Thank you so much everyone for you advice! They are now all getting along, although there is a favorite roosting area and the big ones always get it. They little ones are even brave enough to steal treats (strawberries mostly) from the big ones. I will definitely quarantine newer ones as they...
Hi everyone,
I am new to the chicken world. I have two 13 week old Leghorn/silver Dorking crosses. They have had the coop to themselves for a while. Today I got six 8 week old silver lace Wyandottes, and put them in together while watching to see how the older ones treated the younger ones...
