  • Hmm, I've only told it to a few people but they all seemed to understand. Perhaps because they were mostly other people like myself who have been converted by the IB into the sort of people who tell chemistry jokes and decorate the periodic table for fun. lol.

    Ah chemistry...
In my friend's class they were making nitrogen dioxide. A couple of people took videos. :P It's also apparently the custom for my chemistry teacher to set the table on fire at the end of the year... this I have yet to see.

White chocolate. Whoo! I ESPECIALLY love Lindt white chocolate truffles. I always end up buying a couple whenever I visit that shop... (they have lots of random stuff. You go in and pay by the 100g.)
    Hahahahahaha!!!!

    That was good. :P
I was reading about nitric acid and sulphuric acid doing cool stuff together last night. So much fun.

Anyway, check this out. I was laughing so hard.

I agree. Despite the fact that half the elements are missing and gold is apparently in Group I. lol. So unreactive.

I got a white chocolate one. I love white chocolate. :D Okay, I haven't seen those yet, lol. I have, however, seen some of your very amusing subspecies of cheerios... (e.g. apple and cinnamon. Creative.)
lol. Nice joke. It's always the really lame ones that make the most laughs at the most unlikely moments...

Oh, and also check this out. it's seven shades of awesome.

(You can actually see it quite well when you zoom in. My personal favourite is potassium :P)

Oh, and today I was at my favourite American and English sweets shop when I saw peanut butter cups on sale. I was like, AHAH! Ooj is always talking about those, so I got one. Pretty good.
    Ah yessss!!
A time tam is a type of chocolate. It's like a couple of layers of biscuits, with chocolate in between and around the outside. Nothing that spectacular, but I don't suppose they have them in Germany. :P

Good luck with your test results. Hope they're good. At least my maths teacher has let us off doing the practise exam this year because she feels sorry for us. :P

I have a really lame joke for you. Saw it yesterday. Thought it was hilarious.
Q: What did the scientist say when he discovered two isotopes of Helium?
    A: HeHe
Coolest here is about 5 degrees during the day. It might hit 0 at night in the hills. This year it snowed at Mount Lofty, actually. This event remained in the news headlines for a few days. :P

    Yeah, I bet, I can't wait...

I'm being asked to take voluminous quantities of tim tams with me. Tim tams appear to be very popular amongst the Germans. Do you guys have time tams?
    Oh very nice!
It's thankfully cooled down a bit here too, much to my complete delight.

Here's another line for you: "Ah! But is it melting or dissolving in its own water of crystallisation?" For the win.
I think the substance in question was copper sulfate...

Yes! I will! Well, I don't care what kind they have, I'm going to buy heaps. :P I miss having Guy Fawkes day, fireworks are mostly illegal here.

Sounds fun... Halloween is such a small thing here, barely anyone remembers, lol. It seems too long since I've had any copious amounts of sugar. Ah, sugar.
It's a bit hazy too here. Runway 05, I can see you... *stalker eyes*

My physics teacher is pretty interesting. My chemistry teacher is more interesting. He has a plethora of amusing lines that he springs on us. My personal favourite is "It's the alkalis you have to watch out for, they dissolve corneas". ...Like, where did that even come from? lol.

Joo is going on exchange. I will buy fireworks in Germany. >:D

Write something to Gerbil... (lol, you left that thing at the bottom of your message. It was funny. :P)
By the way, I got a TIF yesterday. It was a complete blast. Planes are for the win.
That's great news. Every long journey begins with a seemingly insignificant step... :P

Nothing has melted, I don't think. A couple of short circuits. My physics teacher was wrecking this battery, cheerfully demonstrating short circuits. :P It was such an absurd moment. "Oh, I'm killing the battery," he says, not moving the leads he's holding together.

I don't think I will. I've never been good at writing novels, and besides, I have exams in November and then I go to Germany. *hides* Enjoy yourself though!
O dear, that does not sound pleasant. Hope you do not injure yourself anymore.

The internal resistance in the circuit of my brain is becoming quite high. The high currents that need to be drawn to operate my physics-doing centre are reducing the aforementioned electrical equipment to tears. :P
