I have been to and used both. R&C is fda inspected and such, They only process birds maybe once a month or so, they usually just collect names and numbers of birds until they have enough lined up to run all their equipment then call you back to schedule. Longshadow does all their birds...

Help! I was rechecking the birds and the splash only has 9 toes.....cant take that one to the show. I would love to take this one instead.. but have no idea if this is a recognizable color???? What color would you say it is and would you say ok to take to show or no? Has black skin 10...

Is it true that a frazzle or curly bird has 2 copies of frizzle gene and all offspring will get one frizzle gene therefore making all chicks frizzled?

They are very cute I am sure with a little rehab they will look great. I have a hen that kind of looks like these guys right now and it is because the little roo pulls off the head and neck feathers while he is trying to hold on to them.

Are sizzles like frazzles? NO Sizzles have very soft lightly windswept frizzled feathers. In my opinion the sizzles have much better feather quality than most frizzles. My experience with frizzles has been brittle tightly curled feathers that are not very soft or fun to pet.

The hen was a frizzled sizzle and the roo was a frizzled cochin. 2 frizzles make a frazzle.

This little cockerel is a frazzle but not bad...the picture is a little blurry.

These are my sizzles and two red frizzle/cochin that I hatched in January. They are now in the care of this silkie rooster. The white sizzles are first generation which is why they still have light skin instead of black. 2 smooth and 1 frizzled sizzles

Okay second chick...Same red frizzle roo. Hen has to be white painted silkie hen? I read in an earlier post that white is a dominant color...any comments? This would be a first generation sizzle that needs to be bred back to the silkie to get black skin and 5 toes.... How am I doing so...

First chick almost 3 weeks old. Roo is red frizzle cochin, Hen could be gray and white splash frizzled sizzle, White painted silkie, or there is a chance of smooth painted sizzle...Chick has really good feathering at this age compared to the hatchery frizzles I got last year. Any guesses on...
