Here's my submission for the Incubator Contest:
I started with Bock_Bock's idea for modifying an aquarium. I don't really expect to win, just thought it was kinda cool. I started out by trying to use the original lid and lights for the aquarium. It had two 25 watt bulbs but...

Frizzless is just the kind of EE roo I was hoping to get...He's so beautiful. My camera died so I don't have any current pics of my ladies and I've got a young EE roo that's all white and black...I think he'll be cool to look at when he's fully feathered. But I would have much rather...
I have a total of five Khaki Campbell ducks (well known for their egg laying abilities), but I had only originally wanted two. The person I got the hatching eggs from sent me extra to ensure a good hatch and I figured we'd just keep them all, but now that it's the rainy season, I've realized...
Thanks for the reply...I have been so busy that I have not been able to take care of this yet, but when I closed them up for the night, I noticed another one is showing signs, so I definitely will be treating all of them. And I usually do use DE, but my kids cleaned out the coop last time and I...
I haven't been on BYC in at least a month or two, so I'm glad I happened to get on tonight to see the update on your hen. I'm glad to see that she's doing so well. I hope you do find a vet, since that's what you say you'd like to do. Please continue to keep us posted on her.

I've been reading up on the scaly leg mites and have determined that that is definitely what my hen has. Today, I completely cleaned out the coop and put new shavings in and liberally sprinkled in DE. My question is, I only have one hen that has any symptoms...so do I have to treat all...
Maybe this seems like a silly question, but now that I've got chicks following their Mama all around, I'm wondering how do I give them chick food and keep the other hens from getting it? If I put any out, all the other chickens just eat it and leave none for the babies.
My roo definitely has his fun with the two EE girls. I've seen him doing it. I've checked their eggs for fertility and all the ones I've checked have been fertile. That's why I decided to put them under the broody hen. I was quite bummed that none of them developed. I'm clueless.
I've decided...
No, they weren't shipped. The rooster is the same age as the hens...born in February. We've only got one roo and he's the one that fertilized the successful eggs too.
I had a broody hen and wanted mostly Easter Eggers out of the hatch...She had a total of 19 eggs under her...they were all smaller eggs from young hens (born in Feb). All but one of the eight other eggs hatched. I opened up the EE eggs and not one of the had any development in them. I had...
