Thanks... we love them. They are pretty friendly... We have been wanting a pair for awhile now.
Coop... it wasn't a planned trip. We just got up and decided to go to the WCA.
Me and my DH will be married for 24 years, next month....
Neither of us would know how to live without one another.
Even though we get on each other's nerves, from time to time....
we wouldn't want to grow old with anyone else.
I got this little guy at an auction... this past weekend.
And this cute hen, too. I love her color and intend on breeding her to my porcelain roo.
She's a little scared but still a sassy little thing.
Has anyone ever had a turkey hen walk around, puffing up and acting like a male?
I know it is a hen... she lays eggs... so no doubt there. I was just wondering if she is having an identity crisis???
DH does have one yokahoma roo... that I know he won't part with.... as it took him a year to finally get one.
Good oriental breeds are hard to find around here...
and forget ordering them from the hatchery.... we have several times and each time... they have failed to thrive.
But thanks to...
We are doing the 301 yard sale this weekend, too.
If you start yard saleing in Benson... you will pass right by the road we live on... between Benson & Four Oaks.
We didn't buy anything either. If anyone takes any birds to WCA... don't put too many birds in the boxes, put frozen water bottles in their crates (Beth's idea) , or at least some water. Some poor birds got too hot on sunday and died.
That is awesome... but they will all want to lay in the same box.
Let him... I let my son do it in 7th grade... he kept it for a year and then went to long... "hate it"... hanging in his eyes.... for about 4 years.... Now he wears it nice and short ( at 21).
