    Thanks for the poster ideas. I think my "demonstration" will be based on my public presentation on incubating from last year. We will see if the vet approves my 2 month old chicks (which is apparently against state regulations)

    Do roosters crow ALL the time?

    I find that multiple roosters seem to make each other crow more, like a contest, unless one is too intimidated.

    Most roosters have pointed hackles, long saddle feathers, and large tails. I'll edit a photo to add arrows pointing them out. You can't really see the pionted hackles, and it isn't my best work, but it'll do.

    He's beautiful! Sometimes you can estimate the age of a rooster by the size of their spurs, but that's tricky when you don't know how fast they grow.
