I had 13 eggs in my nest, which took about 2 weeks before my two cochin hens went broody.

I would say that is too many. Do you have a incubator? I would put the extra's in the incubator. I have bantam cochin hen that takes care of 13 chicks. 9 LF breeds and 4 silkies and they all get under her. She only was setting on 6 eggs and the rest I hatched out in my incubator.

My olive eggs are mixed EE's and a bantam cochin rooster. I can't wait to see what they look like when they hatch!!

I have 12 silkie eggs under a broody hen and i have 4 green eggs in the incubator. I will join ya'll.

I have an LF EE Hen and a bantam mix cochin rooster. Well, the LF EE hen's eggs are fertile and I wondering if the size difference between the two would be an issue when it comes to incubating the eggs.. I have set 3 of her eggs to see if they will start to develop. Thanks, James

I kept mine put up in the hen house for a week before I let mine out to the world and and when it started to get dark they go back to the hen house.

They are cute!! Mine are the same age and they look totally different then yours does.

some dont start till day 21 some earlier. Depends really. My silkies hatched on day 19-20. What do you have in the incubator?!

I had one hatch that was super small compared to the others and she is still smaller then the others. She take a few days before she was up and walking and eating. Just give it some time. Mine is a blue black splash.. She was as dark as yours. Such a cutie!!

Mine didn't get active until they started to break through the shell and zipping. Just give it time.
