I love shawls & I love shawlettes!! I l;ike making both in heavy wool and light cotton.
:SIGH: I'm on a shawl/shrug OD.
"GASPS" Just followed the last link to that shawl ... it will be moved up in my Queue ... it took my breath away.
Love all your work! I find myself usually knitting socks or shawls more than anything else.
Are you Rubycanyon on Ravelry also? I'll look you up
eta: Love the Holden shawlettes ... that pattern is up next in my queue. Thanks for the tips in your project notes!
...Pattern is Storm Cloud by Hanna Breetz
I altered it a bit by using Aran weight yarn and size 10-1/2 needles.
After the increase on row 72, I knit 3 rows then finished with a picot bind off. (Bind off one stitch, * cast on 3 stitches using cable cast on, bind off 7 stitches*. Repeat from...
For a while I would have my two socks going at the same time on separate DPNs. Cuff on one, then the other. Sock on one, then the other, etc. I've lost or given away DPNs so now I'm back to one at a time.
Thanks ... just got another sock finished ... just one .... the pattern is cool, but fiddly ... trying to talk myself into making the 2nd one before I get started on spinning black corriedale fleece into a sock weight yarn for another shawl (like the one pictured)
I won't cast on the new shawl...
Silkie, those are gorgeous!! I hope you do enter them into the fair!!
I just finished a shawlette and (another) pair of socks
(For those who don't have access to Ravelry)

Caat,
Those are called 'ladders' and are caused by the stitches between your needles being too loose. A couple stitches before the end of the needle and the couple stitches at the beginning of the needle, give a little tug on the working yarn to snug these stitches up.
Just finished a pair of...
It is the free Mojo Sock pattern found on Ravelry.
Caat, you can use the same concept and knit it cuff down. I'm a cuff down sock knitter but wanted to explore the toe up. I used 2 DPNs for the magic cast on, it was a PAIN!!. Using two circs is much, much easier (so I've heard). It was the...
