My guineas were due to hatch today. One poped out yesterday and 2 out this morning. Now if the rest would come on out, but no other pips I can see yet.
Thank you!!! It has been great to enjoy the company of every one here.
I have guinea eggs due to hatch tomorrow and have set more chicken eggs due July 17th. After the guinea eggs are done I have banty eggs to go in, probally Monday or Tuesday. Looks like I will be around for awhile?? Be seein' ya!
I have had a really bad hatch. Only 3 chicks. Better than nothing, BUT. Took a shot yesterday and grabbed 3 out to candle them to see what might be going on. 2 no good and one not moving, so I candled the rest too. About 6 had dead babys and the rest were no good at all. Scraped the whole bunch...
gabrielle1976,
or any one that has some input???
I have a question? Watching your live cam yesterday I noticed your eggs were hatching sitting in egg cartons. I was under the impression that the chicks rolled their eggs around to get into position to hatch. How does that work in the cartons...
Absolutly Nothing out of the rest of the eggs! I am not understanding! I will give them till tomorrow and then they have to go. Have 29 guinea eggs to lock down on Wensday that have been in an automatic turner. We will see how that goes and hopefully the turner will make a diffrence.
Two of my grandkids were watcing yours hatch and were as excited as watching ours. You moved the camera and my grandaughter said " what dose she thing she is doing, I want to see the baby." Good thing for you that you put it back, she was about mad at you!! She is 6. Very cool watching!
I candled on day 11 or 12, and did not get time to candle before lock down. They were all good then! I had 4 thermometers in while setting my bator up. Of course they all read different by a degree or two, so I took a happy medium. I had placed them all in the exact same spot to check their...
Do you think the un-hatched egg will be ok if I get the humidity up? I sprayed them with warm water, one reason I took the 3 chicks out. I have also put a little more on the sponges useing a straw through the vent hole. I am so hoping the rest did not shrink wrap?
I have 3 chicks out, but one has a protrusion out its behind. Don't know whats up with that? None of the other eggs have piped. My temp and humidity have been steady throughout. Now the humidity want's to jack around. Since the chicks hatched out yesterday and they were all in the corner...
