I found a package of craisins I bought for our bunnies, but they didn't like them. I put them up and forgot all about them. So today I gave them to the chickens and they went nuts over them! Also picked a bunch of grass and clover for them and since dh was loading the semi with corn, I got some...
I had one pumpkin outside and the top half of it was all mushy. DH cut it in half with his machete and took it in there and they gobbled up the mushy half right away. I guess they're saving the hard half for tomorrow.

Not at ours. I paid $1 each and they are down to maybe a half dozen left.
Our Walmart had 6 of those big boxes FULL of pumpkins. They were $3.88 each. Going today to get more since I have the truck today!
$3.88 for a box? The price of a single pumpkin was $3.88 before Halloween.
Just some wheat seeds. I had to have ds lure them to the other end of the coop with it so I could move their waterer in there-otherwise they try to squeeze out the gate and with the dog right there, it's not a safe thing for them to do. They never used to do that and I had to go in the run every...
You wash their beaks?
Ours go quick oats and raisins today, plus some shelled corn. I didn't have any leftovers to give them. Tomorrow they'll get 3 ears of field corn that ds found in the field.
Ours got the last 3 soft peaches (with the gross parts cut off) and 2 bread heels, plus dh threw them a big double handful of corn while he was unloading the trailer. DD carved her pumpkin tonight so tomorrow they'll get the guts and cuttings.
Ours got an acorn squash that was starting to go bad (I cut off the gross part) and some grass. They liked the grass better. DH also threw them some shelled corn when he was grinding feed for the hogs.

cracked corn is good when it's cold out. Some kind of hay is good but I can't remember which kind. I think alfalfa but do a search to make sure.
