Life.boys.a rant. -it just takes some time, it'll be alright, alright

I apologize for the not caring about replies remark, everything was just starting to sink in and I was getting frustrated, theres no excuse for that. I'm planning on seeing him after he comes back so I can let him know how I feel and we can talk more , I don't think I even said anything related...

Life.boys.a rant. -it just takes some time, it'll be alright, alright

I'd like to rant if thats ok, you can respond if you want I don't care either way. Theres this guy that I know, we get along so well it's perfect, he's a total redneck and a sweetheart at the same time, we have a lot in common (though I don't think I'm a redneck lol ) So he had a thing for a...

    I have a date tomorrow!

Oh, and Her dad has access to her facebook because she is still living at home and (I assume) is a good parent. If a kid wants total privacy, move out, get a job, and support yourself. Otherwise, you live by the "house rules". (just my two cents) Exactly, and I'm too lazy to log out of my...

    I have a date tomorrow!

My dad was just kidding, lol, he's actually took to this whole date thing really well. We went intending to have dinner and watch a 7:15 movie, but all the tickets were sold out, so we ended up watching a 10:30 movie, I got home at around 1:45am and everyone was asking what we did while we...

    Extremely territorial hen

There are 18 chickens to 9 nests, there are at least 4 boxes open most of the day as their laying isn't at the same time.I have a two story nest box, three on top three on bottom, then there are a few nests on/in some boxes that they use. I have a hen that is chasing everyone away from the one...

How old are they when they stop laying?

My hens are reaching that two year mark this spring almost all of them are laying everyday but they're eating a ton, especially after their molt. I'll probably get a batch of chicks this spring to replace them.

Hens fighting over "The Good Nest"

One of my RIRs made a nest on top of a dog cage that overlooks the whole coop, complete with sheets (for bedding) and a view.Another RIR moved into the nest and they fight over it every morning, the one that was there first will get her face pecked at until she moves, sometimes she can be...

    When getting a hen broody...

I have a hen in a large dog cage covered with sheets for it to be darker (with the top uncovered for some light), I have 4 dummy eggs, food and water in there and she has calmed down since I put her in there. She gets up from her nest wanting out when I come in, but when she thinks I'm gone she...

    Confused... she...he?

We're rooster-less so that is probably it. I find it so interesting how chickens do stuff like that, why now all of a sudden? We had a few chickens die I wonder if that messed things up in the flock and made her higher on the roost and she assumed the role as rooster...

The never ending question... which bator?

But it sounds like it's gotten a good review so far, if I end up going with LG it would go in my fish room, it's locked all the time so the kiddos don't play in the water of course it would be away from the water so it wouldn't get ruined.

The never ending question... which bator?

The LG being cheaper was my first pick, but I didn't want to be cheap and end up with deformed/dead chickies.

    Confused... she...he?

For the past year I was pretty sure we had all hens, but now I'm confused. I ordered all female chicks from a hatchery and they all grew up fine, I was convinced they were all pullets as they got older. Now I have one RIR that has been harassing my other hens, and it is JUST like a rooster...

6 dead chickens- What is this?

I originally thought it was tomato vine poisoning when the first died, now I've lost 4 more and I'm guessing I'll lose another tonight based on the way shes acting. Theres loss of appetite and they hadn't been drinking much, and their laying stopped completely, no eggs for a few days now...

Chickens ate tomato vines, 3 dead - questions

Everyone is ok so far, I think they'll be ok. I eat fried green tomatoes too, it's the vines that have toxins in them.

Chickens ate tomato vines, 3 dead - questions

They know better now, I just assumed it was the green tomatoes too, they were completely green. There weren't any pesticides on the tomato plants, they have toxins in them that can kill chickens as well as cats and dogs (I think it can make humans sick as well). I'll try the oatmeal and see if I...
