    how and when to introduce new chicks to older chickens

    I have 2- 3 week old chicks and wondering how and when to introduce them to my older birds. I took them out side and under direct supervision to see how they would react and the 1 instantly attacked her and tried to kill the chick.

    Shelf life of feed

    I just hatched 2 chicks and had to buy a 50 lb bag of feed. I don't plan on hatching any more until at least next spring. If I vacuum seal a few bags of it will it last a year stored in air tight in dark cool spot??
