    2 egg in one day.. from same hen!?!

    My red sex link hen laid two eggs today. One was hard shelled but not colored evenly..the other was a soft eggs. She does this about once a week. Has anyone else had this happen? What would cause this?

    One day old chick is just laying around & not opening her eyes

    She can walk... has no visible deformities.. Her eye opens for just a bit when picked up but closes soon after..she sleeps alot. She pipped her egg and then it took her forever to get out. What should I do for her? She has taken some drops of sugar water but nothing else? Any advice?

    Early Lockdown??

    I set 44 eggs at noon on 12-31-11. Today, I added 10 more eggs.. My question is Can I lockdown the eggs on the same day...maybe day 19 for the 1st set which would be day 16 for the 2nd set. These are chicken eggs. Thanks
