Hello everyone,
I have the above breeds ready to ship and am taking waiting list for future shipments.
I am asking $25 shipped per dozen for the orps and buffs and $30 per dozen for the cuckoo marans.
Buckeyes are available 8 for $25. I do not have enough laying hens to ship by the dozen...
OK, I have pics of some of these guys as babies and need to ID before I butcher them. A few I think are girls too.
I think White Leghorn
I think Black Australorp
Golden Buff/Comet
Barred Rock - I think
No Clue
And I think these are girls:
Barred Rock Girl?
White Rock Girl...

I'm hatching to order this fall. Cuckoo Marans in particular. $5 straight run each.
I should have some silkies and golden buffs starting in a couple of weeks (I just separated breeds) and possibly buckeyes. The buckeyes are holding out on me.
I also have some beautiful mixed breed chicks...
$25 for 6, $35 for 12+ including shipping!
Beautiful birds, mix of feathered and non-feathered shanks. Eggs are about a 4 on the color scale, so not the darkest, but definitely darker than regular brown eggs.
I have 4 of my girls in with a male with "fading" on his wings and a darker tail...
I have a number of black and white pied muscovy ducklings available 2-6 weeks old. $6 each straight run.
These guys are beautiful birds, make great pets and are great for butchering as they don't have the excess oil in their meat that most ducks do. My males are growing out to 20-25+ lbs!
I...

I can ship a dozen Cuckoo Marans eggs on Monday. $30 for the dozen, $20 for 1/2 dozen, includes shipping!
These are not hatchery birds. I don't know where the lines originated, but I got these birds from a breeder who was getting out of the breed. They have nice conformation and while their...
I have 6 muscovy eggs, black and white pied, ready to ship tomorrow (Tuesday). Just $20 for 6+ eggs, including shipping!
I've had great hatch rates from my scovies this summer. This is their third clutch and I don't need any more ducklings so I'm offering eggs up for sale.
Thanks!

Hey everyone,
I'm curious what people are charging for chicks. I know it varies a lot by location and breed.
I have been getting $3 a piece for some very nice mixed breed chicks (beautiful coloring from great brown layers). And I just started hatching some pure breds, silkies, cuckoo marans...
I"m in the middle of a chick hatching frenzy!
I currently have about 15 light brahma bantam chicks, straight run, 2 days to 2 weeks old.
About a dozen cuckoo marans chicks. The daddy has a "washed out" look in his wings and a dark tail which hopefully means that he carries the birchen gene...
I have hatching eggs available from a few different breeds. 6+ for $20 including shipping.
Silkie - Mixed colors nice but not show quality
The pictures on this thread are from a couple of months ago, but they give you an idea. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=65514...

I'm trying to put together some sort of automatic watering system, or a modified system.
I was thinking of using large barrels with short hosing into bowls in each coop in the area. I have my animals in a variety of places on the property and many are movable coops, so I would have probably 4...
I put my layers in their new coop/run yesterday sooner than expected because of broody hens and things. I hadn't cleared out all of the construction supplies. I thought I got out all the unsafe stuff, but other things were still in the coop. I went out this morning and they had tipped over and...
Anyone know the best way to get staples and cheap bent screws out of pallets after you break them down to use for coop building?
I can get the higher quality nails out without too much trouble, but the cheap ones that have a twisted look to them just bend when I try and pound them out, and the...
I found one of my hens trapped out in the barn today. She'd managed to get her wing between a panel and the barn siding and was kind of hanging there. This was around 6pm, and I had last been out at around noon, so it could have been as long as 6 hours.
It seems like one side of her body is...
