Does anyone have a male African goose for sale? My male got caught in a fence today and died. My female is very lonely. If I get another male, will she pair up with it? I believe she is about 13 weeks old. I cannot remember when I got her. She has just gotten all of her feathers. I live in...
my male african goose got caught in the fence and died this morning. Can I replace it with another male? Will my female accept another male? She is not to the age that she is laying eggs yet, but is huge. Does anyone have a goose they want to get rid of?

About 12 weeks ago, I got 10 day old chicks and 4 day old ducklings. Only one duckling survived. I order more chicks and ducklings and received them Friday August 1. I ordered 3 Sweedish ducklings. Two have died! I only have one left.
I am doing something wrong, please help!
I am NOT feeding...
I have 10 - 11 week old chickens and one 11 week old Pekin Duck. I bought them all as day olds and lost three ducklings, which left me with one. I have had it in with my chickens. I had them in a temporary small building that I built until I could get the chicken coop built. I let them free...
I know posting the name of this book is against the rules, so I will try to word it differently.
The name of the book is "Skinny B(female dog in heat)".
I just want to know if the information about chicken eggs is true. And if I am feeding my birds feed from the closest farm store, am I giving...
These eggs were given to me after they had set out up to 14 days. These are my first eggs to try and hatch in my home-made incubator. I tried to candle them today, day 5. They are brown eggs and I do not know if my LED mini Maglite is a good enough candler source. But it looked like about half...
I've already told everyone that I know absolutely nothing about chickens and/or hatching, so you will probably not be surprised by this question!!!
I know that you are supposed to "turn" the egg. Does that mean turn it 180 degrees bottom to top or vise vesa? or does that mean side to side...
I have four polish chicks about 7.5 weeks old. This is the only one that is getting these things (I am a new chicken owner and am embarassed that I do not know what these things are called) under his/her beak. Do you think that this one may be a rooster? Or do all polish get them?
I know...
I saw a post on here where a woman had built her own incubator. She used a meat shipping styrofoam container and some pink duct tape. Anyone remember it. I was wanting to know how to find that post. I want to build one too! That is if she doesn't mind I copy her idea. Can anyone point me to that...
I think the chicks are about 6 weeks or so. Today is the first day I let them walk on the grass. You guys make taking pictures of chickens look easy. They won't stand still. I think (I am not sure) that I have 4 buff orps, 4 polish, and 2 barred rocks. You can correct me if I am wrong. But I am...
My chicks are about 6 weeks old now. I build a small temporary coop right by my house and they have done really well there. I am just about done building their big coop. I am planning on letting them "free range" during the day! I am just really nervous about turning them out! These are my (or...
