    Bald Butts, why? (pics)

    Out of a flock of 12 hens, all healthy, there are now 2 of them with bald butts. Why what happened? Molt, picking? I examined them very closely and no damage, or signs of any sickness. Just bald butts.....whats the deal?

    How to introduce new chicks to the flock?

    OK, Sevin dust, is it good or not?!

    i keep hearing sevin dust is good, seven dust is bad, sevin dust is a must, sevin dust is toxic, powder it on the m, dont put it directly on them, put it in the bedding, dont put it in the bedding it causes toxic dust..... would somebody clear this up for me.....

    water (liquid) from the beak?

    i have a one week old turkey chick, every time i pick it up, it expels water ( clear liquid) from the beak. Whats teh deal? it seems healthy otherwise, perfectly normal. WHat is it doing? Any ideas?

    I have chooks, my wife has pigeons. I am building a new coop, can i build an area for teh pigeons within the chook coop? Health issues? they would be sepereated but expose to the same area a and sharing shelter, (air , etc.....) Seperated by screens. Can this be done healthy? ideas?

    Please help, humidity mystery

    ok, i have 12 turkey eggs in a LG bator. THe humidity is at 60 and some times spikes to 65!!!! The mystery..........THERES NO WATER IN THE DARN THING! I mean not a drop! anywhere! SO, how do i bring it down, what causes this?

    Bloody nose?

    ok, i was doing my check over of the girls today and noticed that one has some dried up blood under one nostril. Its about the size of two drops of blood. Im just curious, is this a sign of a potential problem or "just one of those things"? she (and all other chickens) seem perfectly healthy...

    ok, i am about to hatch a group of eggs that are all meant to be meat birds at 10 weeks old. So, question is, what do i feed them as soon as they hatch? Medicated chick feed? And for how long do i feed them this before switching, and switch to what?

    Humidity help

    Ok, apperantly i have opperating of the wrong information.... I have had the humidity in my LG still air for my chickens at 60% for days 1-18, then to 70% for days 19 till hatch,. Now im beiong told it should be about 45% day 1-18 and then 55% day 19 to hatch. Whats teh final word please...
