I noticed on these nice warm few days we have had here in Michigan that swarms of bee's are all over my chickens feeder. They are attracted to something, What? I put out some wheat and cracked corn for a little treat and they were all over it too? What is it they areliking so much?
A friend gave me some grower, can I give this to my laying hens? Should I mix it with there layer? I understand it has more protien than layer but what about the extra stuff they need for laying a good quality egg?
My naked neck chicks have a bulge in there lower neck, It appears to be chick food in there. Is this there crop full of food that I am seeing? It does not seem to affect them they are running around like chicks do eating and drinking and pooping like everyone else. Thank you for the info.
I have chicks coming from McMurray, I expect them Mon/Tues. I am pacing the floor waiting to get them. My kids and I ordered some Turkens, Silkies, Crevacors, EE, RIR, And blackstars. We cant forget the mystery chick. I will post some pics.
My roosters temperment has went from bad to worse going after my children in the yard. I told the kids that I would take care of him before the weather gets warm and they want to be outside. Can anybody guess whats for dinner tommorow night?

I have a hova-bator still air incubator. I just put in a new wafer but still not obtaining optimum heat ranges. Now what? Anything else to look for or should I look for a new incubator?
