    Not your average prolapse

    She's a 1 yr old bantam cross. Has anyone seen this? It is hanging from her vent. I've put it back in but it eventually slips out. She's isolated. Spunky. Laying. I just can't figure out what this is? A teste? A growth? Thanks for your help.

    Hi - The molting has started and I've noticed that myfavorite hen who is usually friendly and comfortable has become a bit skittish and flighty. I am assuming it is because she has dropped her feathers and feels vulnerable? Anyone else notice this kind of change?

    has anyone used homeopathy on their chickens?? PTSD?

    I'm wondering about treating PTSD (post hawk attack) with homeopathy. Anyone ever done this? She is now afraid of the other hens, afraid to be out of her coop. ( Molting too - with the usual pale comb and not laying.) She was not like this before the attack (Dec.2). Thanks!

    hawk attack - first aid advice needed

    Mixed flock? Gonna get along??

    Any problem having a small flock (6 or 8) with say, 3 Wyandottes and 3 Brahamas? Do they mix well? I wanted to let husband and son choose "their own" breed.
