I've been down sick for 2 weeks. I just looked out the window and saw that my roo has reddness on his feet and going up his legs. I can't tell from here but his comb looks a little pale at the tips. I also noticed that the hens are pecking at him. So how bad do yall think this is?
I would prefer to pick up with in 50 miles of my location (Paulding,GA)
I would like to get at the very least a hen and roo Cuckoo Maran. As for the Easter Eggers I can't get a straight which is the purer breed.

This is probably in the wrong place....how do I submit a post to sell chickens on Craigslist? I have read where some were removed and I don't want to have to repost. Thanks
I just visited a lady today who had the neatest coop. It had the usual coop shape with tin roof. At the front was screened and you could see directly in. She had areas to the left and right but int he middle was a screen door which led to a hall. She had 3 stalls if you will with different...
Black Standard Cochin Roo has plenty to offer to any Females seeking security of a big strapping young Roo. Crows heartily and keeps his appearance neat with daily dust baths. He does have one wattle that is smaller than the other so sensitivity is a must for any females that he is to share a...
Would there be much trouble if a 4 month old roo is put in with 1-2 year old hens? I figured they might not take kindly to him but as he grew into his role they would get over it. Anyone have any advice or experience with this?
I posted pictures of my pullets recently but the more I look at this pullet I really think it is a cockeral. Larger comb, longer tail feathers, and big ol wattles. There are both Dellies hatched at the same time.
OK so I posted the other day that one of my 16 week old pullets had laid our first egg. Here is the pic
Well tonight I cracked the egg and this was what was inside! That bowl is only 4 inches wide!! Isn't that so cool!!!!
One of my pullets laid her first egg!! :weeeDH said he didn't think there would be anything till the second week of August. I kept saying 16 weeks. Well low and behold he was out there checking in on them and found a purdy lil egg. I'm not rubbing it in but I want too
I just wish I knew which...
My pullets are feathering out and with 23 there are feathers everywhere. I have already got in the run area that has a net which is no higher than about 4 1/2 feet and raked it out.
Should they be eating the feathers? WhenI rake out the run are the feathers OK to be composted??
I know these are...
Is it normal for a roo's waddle to grow unevenly? One side looks nice and grown in while the other side looks under developed. I hope I am calling it the right thing. The red part that grows beneath the beak.
My pullets are 16 weeks and everytime I put pine straw in their nesting boxes they scratch it clean out! I don't want their first eggs to be cracked because it didn't have something soft to land on.
We also introduced them to the old ladies and let them in their run and one of the pullets got up...
So we finished dinner and there is some fried rice left over. Homemade with whole grain brown rice. I don't know why I make cause no one eats it. Can the chickens have it?
sorry for the typos. Fingers move faster than the brain.
My Red Stars and Delawares seem to have slight variants. Is this sure to maturity or strains of birds? The hackle on the Red Star seems to have spot on some and not others. The same for the Delawares. Some have strong patterns onthe hackles and other do not. The last picture of my Delaware has a...

I just want to stomp around and be mad! :mad:I raised our chicks which are 16 weeks old. I have fed, watered, and cleaned up after them. I have made special trips to get things for them. I got up early and raked out all their feathers that were everywhere in the coop and all I want to do is pet...
